As a church we are committed to follow Jesus day in and day out. To do this we want to infuse our ordinary days with moments which open us up to the Spirit. This series is will explore daily, weekly and monthly rhythms which will help us be with Jesus, become like him and do what he did.
Sunday 4th June | Anna Mason kicked off our new series Rhythms of Resistance and Renewal. This in an introduction exploring how grace-filled rhythms open us up to Jesus to be formed in his likeness.
Sunday 11th June | The early church ordered their days not around the clock or food but around prayer. Anna Mason carries on our series looking at how we can nourish ourselves with a Daily Diet of prayer as we resist apathy to embrace intimacy.
Sunday 18th June | Joel Dougan-Davies speaks about the rhythm of weekly rest, as a way of resisting the external controls of life which can enslave us; by embracing rest we lean into trust and allow God to use us as a renewing force in the world around us.
Sunday 25th June | Anna Mason speaks about the rhythm of weekly gathering, as a way of resisting individualism and growing in true community.
Sunday 2nd July | Anna Mason speaks about the rhythm of serving as a way of resisting self-centredness and embracing humility! (We’re so sorry for the gentle hum of the worship pad throughout this talk, it won’t be a regular feature, we’re still learning!)
Sunday 9th July | Sarah Yardley speaks about the rhythm of feasting as a way of resisting isolation and creating space for encountering His presence.
Sunday 23rd July | Damilola Makinde speaks about the rhythm of fasting as a way of growing in self-control.
