We're encouraging the church to set aside our time to immerse ourselves in the scripture and encounter Jesus through them. We are doing this so we might live out the story of God in our daily lives, letting his voice be the most formative one in our lives. Rather than eating the bread of anxious toil as the Psalmist says, we want to eat the bread that truly satisfies. Give us our daily bread, as Jesus prayed.
We want this series to encourage greater confidence in engaging with the bible and remove some of the barriers that we face when engaging with such an ancient text.
16th February: Anna looks at how the Bible is a lamp and what it looks like to live a life fully submitted to Jesus.
9th February: Arch Deacon Clive Hogger looks at the authority of the Bible.
2nd February: Joel looks at ‘The Library’ of the Bible, the different books within it and how we can find hope if we struggle to engage with it!
